What we do

We meet every Monday evening between September and June to socialise and dance Scottish Country Dances - Visitors are most welcome to any Club evening.

We usually dance in Chardstock Community Hall - turn left halfway between Axminster and Chard (see map)

We arrive at 7.15 to start dancing at 7.30 p.m. (with a coffee-break at 8.30) - We dance until 10 o'clock.

We have a mixed schedule of learning dances, figures and technique and dancing dances we already know - all at a relaxed pace!

Saturday dances include a break for an American Supper - aka Bring and Share.

Annual membership fee, due in September each year, entitles you to a vote at General Meetings

Saturday dances

Every so often groups of us go to neighbouring SCD groups' social dances or to Day Schools or Week-end Schools (see SW Calendar) or even the official RSCDS weeks at St Andrews in Scotland.

We have close relationships with neighbouring dance groups in Bridport, Taunton, West Camel & Weymouth - they dance with us - we dance with them!

During our summer break we normally have dances on a Saturday evening at Chardstock in mid-June and in the first week of August.

We have a lot of fun!
